RC Tripureswor's presence on Worlds AIDS Day.

Established in 1988 by the World Health Organization World AIDS Day is observed every year on December 1st to bring attention to the AIDS pandemic. Rotaract Club of Tripureswor participated on the rally to mark the 20th World AIDS Day which was initiated by Ministry of Law. As this program was the National Program, ten of thousand people took the participation in the rally which started from Dasarath Rangasala and ended in Kullamuch. Under Rotaract District council 3290, three other Rotaract Clubs participated in this program to mark the world AIDS Day. This program was organized with the initiation of RC Kupondel and RC Patan.

The official theme for World AIDS Day this year was "Leadership". This theme has been developed by the World AIDS Campaign (WAC) along with a range of global constituency-based networks and was promoted throughout and around the world in the lead-up to World AIDS Day on the 1st December.

As in this year, Rotaract District Council Nepal is working closely to promote Millenium Development Goals set by United Nation and combating with HIV AIDS is one of the goals and thus participating on this social cause was the most. This participation was the most (for Rotaractors of Tripureswor) for living our own club's theme "Care and Compassion" and also for achieving our District theme "Together we can make a Difference".

By participating on the rally, RC Tripureswor has shown its care to all HIV AIDS patience. Not only the club has shown its care but also has created the awareness in the society and its people by displaying the various placards which had contained the important message and information.

By participating in this event RC Tripureswor has definitely "took the lead" in a novel social issue.
